Sowing instructions: This ball thistle with its violet-blue ball-shaped flowers is very eye-catching and gives an exotic colour and shape effect in the border. If the flowers are cut before the florets
come out of the bulbs, they can also be dried. Otherwise a good cut flower. Height: approx. 120 cm.
Sow: in May-July in a seedbed in the garden. Moisten the soil, sow as widely as possible, cover the seedling with 3/4 cm of soil and press lightly. Keep the seedbed moist. Space the plants too close together (prick out). Transplant finally in August. Planting distance: 30 x 30 cm. The plants like well-drained soil in which some lime is allowed.
Flowering: from the second year repeatedly in July-September.
